Policy Name:

Allow create certificates via "Sign Document" dialog

Requirements:

PDF-XChange Editor v10.1.0 or later.

Description:

By default, users can create a self-signed certificate on the "Sign Document" dialog and store it in the Windows Certificate Store or as a .pfx file.

Policy Name:

Allow use of the ReOpen function (atomic file reopen)

Requirements:

PDF-XChange Editor v7.0.323 or later.

Description:

The ReOpen function allows changes to access levels for an open file from 'for reading' to 'for writing' and vice versa without closing and reopening the file. Please note that some file systems do not implement this function correctly. Disable this option to prevent the use of the ReOpen function and instead use the CreateFile/CloseHandle pair of functions.

Requirements:

PDF-XChange Editor v10.4.2 or later.

Description:

Specifies whether the user is allowed to add/use WebDav-Places in application to access files on servers that support the WebDav extension of the HTTP-protocol.

Default Paper Size

Requirements:

PDF-XChange Editor v7.0.325 or later.

Description:

Specifies the default page size for creating/editing documents.

Available Values:

Auto (Regional), A4, Letter/ANSI A, US Legal, A3, Tabloid/ANSI B, ANSI_C, ANSI_D, ANSI_E, ANSI_F.

 

Examples: "Enabled" sets the default paper size to the value selected from the drop down list. "Disabled" or "not configured" reverts to "Auto (Regional)" or, if a user has modified it since installation, to the current user settings.

 

Please note:

 

•Auto (Regional) will default to A4 for all locations except the US and Canada, which will default to Letter/ANSI.

•The dropdown list is hard-coded in PDF-XChange Editor and cannot be modified by users or administrators. If you have a requirement for a default paper size that is not in the list then please email support@pdf-xchange.com and request your desired default paper size to be added - we will consider all reasonable requests.

Policy Name:

Get User Identity Information from Active Directory

Requirements:

PDF-XChange Editor v8.1.332 or later.

Description:

This policy takes user identity information from Active Directory (instead of user settings). The user identity information is detailed in the Preferences tab of PDF-XChange Editor.

Policy Name:

Path to Shared Stamp Collections

Requirements:

PDF-XChange Editor 9.0.353 or later.

Description:

This option allows you to specify the intranet path to stamp collections that multiple users can use simultaneously from different machines. These collections are read-only for all users.
